From FISTF newsletter No.208 (Thu Jun 12 08)

The following is taken from the Federation International Sport Table Football (FISTF) newsletter

<< 8. USA: Maricopa Cup round 4 (by Simon Hutchinson)
Saturday June 7's Maricopa Cup fourth round was the best attended in this competition's three year history. We had nine players present and four pitches giving us the opportunity to play 29 games in our allotted time.

Wayne Smith finished top of the table with six wins, Steve Tucker claimed the runners up spot with five wins and one draw, and Simon Hutchinson finished in third with five wins.

An honorable mention must go to Munir Merchant who only lost one game, losing to Dominic Hutchinson. He drew with Wayne Smith, Kevin Nieman and Steve Tucker, who are all players ranked higher than him.

Edgar Flores, Ian Sayer and Jason Mitchell made their debuts in this competition. Jason won his first competitive game since he started playing Subbuteo again after a "20-odd year" hiatus.

A full match report can be found here.>>
