John Carroll and John Giacchino made the two hour drive from southern Orange County to take part in Maricopa Cup for the first time.
There was no surprise that Wayne Smith finished top of the table, undefeated in his four games. Simon Hutchinson finished in second only losing one game and winning his other three. There were creditable performances from the Orange County players as John Carroll finished in third place, with two wins, and John Giacchino finished in fourth, with one win. Kevin Nieman's play was probably effected by the migraine he had experienced earlier in the day.
John Saucedo, who is new to the game, watched a few and played a few friendlies too.
